A STORMY NIGHT

It was a stormy night. Both outside and inside.

The breaking of the flower vase and the outburst of her anger rhymed with the roars of the thunder. But he stood still, and numb.

"Was I never enough for you?"

With a bowed head and lowered eyes, the only answer he had for her, seemed to be his slow heavy breaths -- weighed down every moment with the burden of guilt and helplessness.

He had promised to be honest with her, no matter what. He never wanted to betray her. But having felt the strong hold of love, he was unable to get himself off the clutches of this new emotion -- off the clutches of her. Nor did he ever wanted to lie to her, which was why he had mustered up the courage to open up to her, despite knowing that it may break her heart.
